I've been programming since the mid-90's and consider myself lucky to share a profession and hobby in common. My development stack of choice is C# / ASP.NET / SQL Server but I've been known to dabble in Rails, PHP and MySQL. I use Windows at work, play with Linux at home, and tinker with my Nexus 5 all the time.

comment What is the design pattern name for a class that handles 2nd level caching?
@Doval I don't want to name it cache because from a consumer's perspective, it shouldn't know how the User is being fetched. I might have a UserXXX that uses cache but I might have PermissionXXX that does not check cache and hits db everytime. In effects, the XXX is a wrapper of sorts and handles dirty work of getting the DTO(s).
