yes, i've thought about calculating the average cyclomatic complexity and using that as argument but i'm certain that this won't prove a thing to management. But it's worth a try, thnx

There are no docs and the code is pretty much untestable unless we are going to refactor the hell out of it. I'm fairly confident i'm being backed up by multiple colleagues tho so getting another developer in the discussion might help.

Yea well that just a difference in opinion then. I thought this site was about all things not technical about programming so asking how I can integrate foreign language into a programming internship was, at least to me, a valid question. If it isn't feel free to close or move it, no hard feelings.

@Walter: "All of them are working on developing their own web application" isn't descriptive enough for you to figure that it's about programming? ... on "programmers.stackexchange.com" ??

@Walter: since their internship is programming related and they should practice speaking and writing french during their internship i am looking for ways to integrate the two.

Well it's really common practice here in Belgium since we have three official languages (dutch, french and german). I can imaging that it isn't in large countries where foreign language isn't such a big deal.

These are all from a technical point of view, the interns got the assignment to actually speak and write french, not optimize their projects for multi-language purposes.

good point .. but then it might be better to say "my lack of college education". I don't give a damn about the paper you get at the end but do care about some of the education which i'm missing, wether or not you see it at college or not.

Do you think learning haskell or erlang will give me a better insight in software engineering and planning? I find that hard to believe that leaning a programming language will learn me how to prepare and lead a software project. But you could be right.

I'm not worrying about my lack of a degree, in fact i'm kinda proud i got this far on my own, but it's a fact that in college you "see" stuff that you won't get by that easily on your own. It's that what i'm looking for. and for the record, with metacode i actually meant pseudo code, i edited the question, thanks!
