Agreed. The free online Subversion book (svnbook.red-bean.com) is much better. Also, the index in Pragmatic Version Control using Subversion is useless for finding what you want.

Argh, you've just reminded me of another part of my past I'd rather forget. I inherited part of a project (the same project I mentioned in my answer) that was built on a snapshot of Spring RCP. I could never understand why. It didn't seem to add anything but hassle.
