Starting in the IT business back in 1989, I've been able to grow in many ways from initially programming RADAR models in C, building systems for IBM PS2, VB3, 4, 5, and 6, .NET's beta version in 2001 and now to the latest version of Visual Studio - this along with various data stores along the way. Life sure has changed since that first TRS-80 back in the 70's and "Hello World".

Today I'm a consultant with a small firm in the Kansas City area. But outside of work, I love spending time with my beautiful wife and two wonderful daughters. I'm also a musician as well as gym rat. But most of all, I have to thank God for my life and how He has directed it to this point. Who knows what is next, but He is faithful and I'll just go where He sends me.

comment Should UML be used before or after a basic Program Design
The rivalry continues, even if we won't play you again until we go to the same bowl someday - and it WILL happen some time. At least we can agree on software!!

comment How to best annotate MVC custom action filters?
Thanks @robert - I don't have an IEEE subscription, but your answer did prompt me to find a good free article on the topic of cross-cutting concerns in Aspect Oriented programming - which this seems to fit well. Here is the link: google.com/url?q=http://citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/viewdoc/…

comment Decoupling classes from the user interface
I love it when someone downvotes something without giving a comment as to why (sarcasm, of course). The principles I stated are true - would the downvoter please stand up and say why.

comment Why does Microsoft charge a fortune for its developer tools?
@John - I'm with you - VS is BY FAR the best IDE in existence today. I've used many of them, and the others just don't measure up yet for the vastness of features/abilities.
