How come project managers stand above even team leaders? @ratchetfreak I know there's one, but I doubt they'd appreciate begin called accountants. :) I wanted to see what programmers thought on the matter. |

What algorithms can I use to detect if articles or posts are duplicates? n-grams based measures are much better than md5 hashes especially for semi-structured data such as html. |

Is it okay for programmers to be given the task of outlining database requirements? I think you make good points here. I tend to believe that if the scope is made known to both teams, creating requirements and specs can be made by either dba's or programmers. It seems since the db is lower in the stack, programmers get the bid because they are closer to the user. |
