comment I'm hoping to start an online supermarket and needs advice on open source shopping cart software and applications
From my anecdotal evidence, Magento is one of the best e-commerce applications. Try looking at the Wikipedia comparison. Also you might want to consider which of those has the nicest themes. Themeforest have a set of e-commerce themes for some of the shopping carts which is a major factor for any cart I'd want to develop.

comment Advantages of object-oriented programming
Its voted down because its just a link-and-run, which is highly discouraged. See the meta stackoverflow question: Are answers that just contain links elsewhere really “good answers”?

comment Simple explanation of Continuous Integration
@Jeroen Yep, really, for files on the website. I did make them a nice big red button on a web page that says 'Do it' to update subversion on the server. :)

comment Hating your own code - for good or bad, how do you deal with it?
Related to this is the book 'Inner Game of Tennis' - a truly awesome book. But one of the first lessons is - you don't look at a shot you played as good / bad - you purely observe whether it was in / out. Become interested if there is a smell in your code - but just observe it, fix it and repeat. There's nothing bad, just stuff you can improve.

comment Simple explanation of Continuous Integration
@OnesimusUnbound I remember getting bumped from VSS to Clearcase ... out of pan into fire. Years later after returning to the same company for drinks, I remember someone laughing at a fellow developer for mentioning this new source control called 'Git', "What do we need another source control system for??".
