At the time of writing this, I have 6+ years of work experience, mostly web projects but also other types.

I've used various languages and frameworks: PHP, ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server, Crystal Reports, MySQL, Informix, jQuery, CakePHP, Subversion, Git, and unfortunately even C. I've also played with Sqlite, RoR, Python, GTK (etc) but I have never done a real project with them to call myself an expert.

I am of curious nature and like to learn new things, languages, tools and project management related stuff.

Lately I've been educating myself about all things Agile which are non-existant in the company I work in (far fowls have fair feathers?).

comment Would I gain enough by reading these books or would you recommend some other?
@ThorbjørnRavnAndersen: Little late? :) I have bought the book and read it, it's really quite interesting in some places, even though some parts have not really aged well. Still worth it I think.

comment Company PC refresh, laptop or desktop?
@AndresF.: My main reason is always the sheer amount of horsepower you can put in a desktop PC. Unless mobility is your priority, I think buying a laptop is just wasting money, as you can get a much more powerful desktop PC for the same amount of €/$. But I'm not much of a hardware guy, so I may be wrong here :)

@Rook: It appears I can't edit my comment, so here's another one instead: youtube.com/watch?v=ALZZx1xmAzg

From my research, this sounds like GPL, but perhaps someone more competent will answer..
