That's more or less what I said. Familiarity is a reason to keep doing something, even if its not really the best way. The trouble with the SVN/CVS approach is they track changes to files. "Changed 'zig' to 'zag' might change one file or many. The distributed nature of git is a bonus but its not the most important difference.
