@MadKeithV Yeh, gradually tone it down will sometimes be a lot quicker. Your obviously going to look a prick if everyone else is in torn jeans and your in a suit.

+1 for "the signal-to-noise ratio can be a bit high sometimes. If you have a rough idea in your head how something is done then you can easily confirm whether the article you are reading is correct. But if you've no clue... you can end up in a bigger mess."
