comment Is it normal for a programmer to not have 100% clarity over their own code at times?
This used to happen to me when I was first learning to program. And still is the case when I write more complex algorithms. In my opinion that's ok, after all if we were to have 100% clarity over our code there would be no bugs! And yet everyone makes them.

note: if the app is a success you'll never "finish coding it" and features will get redesigned anyway. So I would go with implementing it the best way I can now.
