comment What do I need to know to develop a paperless application using .NET?
@wasim SharePoint would be a good resource to store the "papers" but you would need to create a solution for automatic load to SharePoint if you want to scan them in. There is a SharePoint stackexchange site sharepoint.stackexchange.com for any questions you have on SharePoint.

comment Dangers of two Jobs? Violating Company Policy?
+1 This is the best way to approach this. Unless someone has gone through the same thing with the same company no one can really give any advice. Different companies have different policies.

comment What are your programming idiosyncrasies?
I am the same way, I have to have the closing when I create a block. I think it comes from when I just started programming, I missed the closer and it brought up the error, so I now "prevent" it.

comment Doesn't “if (0 == value) …” do more harm than good?
And programmers do miss the double '=' sometimes. It is an easy mistake to make and one that is very easy to overlook.

comment How do you portray to non programmers what programming involves?
I mean that they think all I can do is fix computers and hardware, but they don't think I can do anything related to programming.

comment Will getting a degree in mathematics help in game development?
I agree that a whole degree in math would be overkill. A minor in Math would probably be useful though. I have a minor in Math and do not regret taking the extra courses.

comment Is Java “dead in the water” as a consequence of Oracle buying Sun and subsequently suing Google
I probably should have phrased my answer better, it has open source software and platforms, but the clr is not open source, like NimChimpsky said.
