I know there is threading support, but compared to Java or C, the GIL will really lower your performance. That is why the multiprocessing module is preferred over threading.

I was at a company that cut a $40/head team-building expenses to save on the bottom line. I left shortly after that. That was probably the most expense $40 the company ever saved, cause I'm sure I wasn't the only one.

The upside is that you will always be able to find a high paying job. Employers know that a lot of new graduates lack a lot of the fundamentals; the good ones can tell the difference between candidates.
