Love to program, favorite language is C++. Also very interested in Game Design, Computer & Electrical Engineering and Database Design.

I hold a BS in Computer Science with a Physics Minor from Long Island University C.W. Post Campus where I tutored CS for 3 years. I am currently attending NYU Poly for my MS in Computer Engineering.

I have worked in the past for a direct mail company as a developer of in house software using .NET and SQL Server. I have also worked for a medium sized credit card processor developing a mobile merchant tool for tracking records (transactions, batches, chargebacks etc).

comment How do I explain “Recursion” to a 8 years old kid?
@muntoo And I learned multiplication when I was in Kindergarten. Doesn't change the fact that most people learn it when they're 8. In my case and your case, we're just outside of the average. I was speaking with respect to the average.

comment Teaching C++ to first time high school students: Where to draw the line?
@Angelo C++ is the standard used by the FIRST Robotics Competition. A framework IS provided and there is a production time of a few months.

@tylerl There is no option. You're not familiar with the FIRST Robotics Competition, are you? Also, for the record, I taught myself C++ in High School as my first language. There is no reason that someone that age cannot learn it.

comment When is C a better choice than C++?
@ern0 "But writing a big system in C, with hundred of functions instead of splitting it to classes... strange" So writing Operating Systems is a strange concept to you?

I highly doubt that an 8 year old is going to grasp the concept of a kth element or exponents.
