I'm a .Net, Python and Ruby developer for Lymbix Inc.
My work is mostly web analytics. I'm in charge of scaling large sets of data with MongoDB, building the framework that ties up the collection, aggregation and display of large amounts of data.
I'm a Machine Learning, AI, Computer Vision amateur. I also like playing with graphic programming frameworks like SFML and ThreeJS.

Should I expect my team to have more than a basic proficiency with our source control system?
Learning how git works is pretty trivial. It definitely doesn't take a month to learn how to use it. In my opinion a simple "Guys, we're going to use git in a few weeks. Take a few hours to learn how to use it, there's a bunch of resources online.", would've been more than enough.
