comment What does mathematics have to do with programming?
Shame there are so many answers about specific branches of maths (e.g. calculus/trig/etc) instead of the concepts of notation, set theory, etc.

comment What is the (craziest, stupidest, silliest) thing a client/boss asked you to do?
While I agree, it's do-able and some people do it for fun, it's also the WEEKEND :) supposedly, non-work time. Anyway, junior programmers usually have to do this because they might have had all their experience in language 1, then they get a job and suddenly have to use language 2. The problem arises when you have to make significant changes to a project within days of first encountering the central technology.
