Thanks - in regards to the view, I have an asp.net multiview, which shows a view at a time, but its all part of the same page - but they want to view stats for each one separately.

comment How do I document the architecture of an existing application?
@Thomas - mostly design choices, overview of the classes, the major methods in them, the inheritence levels, etc. This document would be produced by the tech lead, possible in conjunction with other tech leads, (or possibly their development manager) and then this can be given to a senior programmer, who can start to build it.

@madKeithV: interesting, that was a good read. Trust is definitely an important factor in this whole relationship... but how do you reign in a team that has been 'slacking'. And by slacking, I mean adding a text field taking more than 2 weeks for no apparent reason..

@madKeithV: but if programmers are not giving the right estimate, how would I know unless I am to put this in context with something I DO know? And if I know I'm being bamboozled, I have to speak up, no?

Thanks for you vote of confidence :) However, if I am not upto par with the technology, how can I judge whether the estimates and issues they are running into are valid/invalid, etc?
