comment How should I build the data structure for a dynamic, unlimited-size “maze”?
I don't think any kind of array would work since the rooms would grow in any directions... So if you start at [0,0] and move left? it would try [-1, 0].

@BenBrocka you must be reading some crappy books. I get good information from them, and they aren't laid out like this....

@YannisRizos Yes, having my pie and eating it would be buying a book. But everyone keeps telling me that reading the site is just as good. So I posed the question, If it's better, how do I take advantage of it. The answer was no better than the people who reply with "Just use the developer site". It isn't really helpful, and it ignores the actual question. So the just is that people should stop (not that all people read this) stop saying the developer site is as good as a book.

This just suggests I drink from the fire hose.... For example, it does Activities as the 1st section but doesn't talk about the UI until the 6th. As a beginner, I want those things tied together as I'm starting.

@MahmoudHossam There is a difference between data and information. In this case, it's helpful to have something that walks thru the process, helping show the basics. The official documentation is mostly a data dump that assumes some expertise to use.

comment Java dev learning Python: what concepts do I need to wrap my head around?
Python (and other FP languages) replaces more verbose code build of simpler building blocks with compact code build on more complex building blocks. Think RISC vs CISC processors.

Programming is doing it; CS is doing it correctly, maintainable, efficient, with fore-thought, etc, etc.
