Fast extraction to text file from oracle database Do you extract a query or do you extract a table? It may be quicker to make a new table for extraction and then to extract that table using the direct path option, "direct=Y". Also see dba.stackexchange.com |

Why can't the IT industry deliver large, faultless projects quickly as in other industries? Any recent mode of transport is full of software, if you're interested in the software quality of aerospace systems then have a look at the DO-178B and DO-178C certifications |

Is thinking out loud during an interview really the best strategy? All very good points (and they get a vote each), assuming your interviewer is part of the technical staff. Unfortunately I have found that staff on the business side don't understand problem solving in quite the same way. On that note, I have only ever landed the jobs where I was primarily interviewed by someone on the technical side. |
