comment How do programmers in the West see programmers in the East?
+1 This is one of the more interesting questions I have seen here lately.

revised “// …” comments at end of code block after } - good or bad?
Fixed code formatting as requested

comment Should every programmer keep a “Lessons Learned” journal?
I believe this is normally called a post mortem analysis. It is done (afair) when the support period is over and the product is basically dead and not supported any more.

comment Is it normal for programmer to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Working on multiple projects and multitasking is not the same thing! Multitasking is when you try to do more than one thing almost at the same time. Being assigned to multiple projects is just that, some tasks are on one project, other tasks are on other projects. That do not mean you multitask between the individual tasks.

comment What process do you normally use when attempting to debug a problem/issue/bug with your software?
It only gets that many upvotes because it includes the magical acronym: TDD.

comment Adding complexity by generalising: how far should you go?
@Developer - I believe this is a very valid point. Without actual need for reuse you will probably not do the generalisation very well.

comment When is a feature considered a “First class citizen” in a programming language/platform?
@Jonathan: Yes, sorry, I misread the "construct them at runtime". Yes you can construct an instance of a class at runtime (an object), but not the class itself. That is what confused me.

@Mark - True, but does it not belong on SO?

Thanks especially for that very last paragraph, I didn't think of that.

comment When should I use mock objects?
-1 So thinking about the design (including scribbling down a class diagram) prevents you from doing TDD? That sounds just plain wrong.

comment What makes Agile software development so appealing?
Another way of saying this is: The ability to actually shoot and hit a moving target.

comment If you could ask one technical interview question, what would it be
Sounds like a good way to get some input, even from the candidates you do not hire.
