Quite the opposite, I find it harder to read as it just clutters up the code.

@Gary, for me as least, it's very rare that bugs/confusion are caused by reassigning a parameter. I'd much rather have clutter free code and accept the remote chance of reassigning a parameter causing a bug. Just be careful when writing/modifying code.

Keep in mind that there are time when you want to reassign the parameter. As example is trimming a string parameter.
