How can I send audio input as chunked HTTP? Why, why, why would somebody do this as HTTP? Can anybody come up with a reason that doesn't give me massive heartburn? |

Polling and control devices Many thanks for the detailed info, it covers everything I need. For personal refernece, what would you expect the price differential to be for an individual chip vs this devboard? |

Polling and control devices @JamesMcLeod Well, weeks is waaaay too long of a timeframe for me, my typical "session" should not last more than a few hours |

Polling and control devices @JamesMcLeod. from your background info it seems you are very knowledgeable about this stuff, haven't you ever had to design such a device yourself? |

Polling and control devices @JamesMcLeod, Could you go into more detail re hybrid? I could, I suppose, poll programmatically but I really don't see how yet. For example, say there is one button and I need to know if it is up or down at any given time. |

creating simple states for a stateless input @CodesInChaos, experimentation seems to support the notion that a dynamic array is tolerable here. Will continue along that route until a better option presents itself |

creating simple states for a stateless input john: well, an array of undefined length + searching it every time to see if a particular button is depressed seems like a good way to waste resources and slow down the program. Maybe I'm not understanding something correctly (always a possibility :)). |

Functional Programming, JavaScript and UI - some neophyte questions It's not that I'm offended, it's more surprised =P. Could you show examples of avoiding states and/or composite objects you mentioned in (1)? |

What does mathematics have to do with programming? Again, see below post. You are doing math, you just choose not to admit it. |

Is something like coderunner possible on PC? @david - even if I wanted to discuss the theoretical or applied productivity losses of attempting ti make my software (including flexlim licensing manager) rune on mac, the fact is we all choose pains in the ass commensurate to relative ass size. This is not a valid forum for a mac vs pc discussion, even if such a forum exists. I think we should stop. I, for one, regret whatever part I played in dragging this out. |

Is something like coderunner possible on PC? @david:, By actual work I mean IC design. By learning an operating system I mean knowing how to do crash recovery in under an hour. |

As a Junior Software Engineer should I say that something has been done wrong if I feel so? Again - it works for you - great. Can't say the same for anyone I know personally. |
