Worst coding standard you've ever had to follow? My head would explode. Seriously, WTF?! |

Do you think that GAE alone is enough to justify learning Python over Ruby? I think you'll find that once you learn Python, you can learn Ruby fairly easily - they're in the same lineage. |

What top companies look for in an Interview? Interviewing is a difficult art for sure, and I don't claim to be an expert by any means. But in my case, I'm not trying to play a game of "gotcha!" - where I'm just waiting for someone to get something wrong. Instead, I'm probing their knowledge, trying to see how deep it is. Can the candidate easily explain how a hash table works, for example. It's usually pretty easy to see who ends up in the win column and who doesn't. |

What syntax element do you love most in a programming language you use frequently? AKA "Lambda syntax" |

What syntax element do you love most in a programming language you use frequently? I love it as well, and yet many organizations I've worked for have banned its use because it is "too cryptic". |

When would someone be considered a bad programmer? Agreed - you've got to have a feedback loop, always learning from your mistakes. |

When would someone be considered a bad programmer? I agree - these people can be extremely damaging to their team. |
