Another term for common code smell If there are accepted practices, you should say "accepted practice" or "unacceptable code". Code smell is a trite term that just says "this looks bad". Things that are called code smells are usually specific instances of known bad coding; calling it a smell doesn't help anyone understand why it's bad code. |
