comment Difference between REST and CRUD
Thinking they are similar means that you do understand them. In reading the answers, I see a surprising and what I consider to be incorrect level of not acknowledging the similarities between the concepts. I believe that the correct way to understand REST is to think of it as "CRUD for HTTP resources". If you understand what an HTTP resource is (its not the same as a database record obviously) and you know what CRUD is, then describing REST as "CRUD for HTTP resources" is a correct and succinct way to convey the essence of REST.

comment How has an increase in the complexity of systems affected successive generations of programmers?
What do you think of nimrod? I am planning on learning it because it has great features like templates, importing function names from package into the scope (good for DSLs), and the packages are all in one git repo for people to make pull requests. And what I consider to be a clean, minimalist, and easy to understand syntax (if you want to use it that way, you can get pretty advanced if you want).

comment Does HTML5 have a feature that enables a user to add an icon to the Apps screen when “installing”, and if not, when are they planning to add it?
Of course I don't want to do it without user interaction. I just want a way to "install" an app that is as convenient as the normal app install process both during the install and when the user wants to launch.

I have a feeling Stack Overflow will just delete it if someone moves it there. Actually seems like good questions on Stack Exchange just get shifted around or deleted.

Thanks.. I guess the "pseudo-installing links" sounds like what I was hoping someone would say was in the planning stages at least..
