If you're willing to implement a game, don't use forms or WPF, just go for XNA which is Microsoft's game development framework. That wasn't clear in your question at all though.

Yeah well he does understand that point in his discussion of the abstract classes which are "similar" from this point of view. He's discussing the ability of being able to override any method that has been previously implemented.

They are not exactly pointers, as I explain later you can do deeper things in C. But one of the main goal of pointer is to be able to pass arguments to function by reference. And that's exactly what is said in the doc.
