What % of career programmers have a bachelor's degree in programming related fields? @Giorgio I agree that some theory is needed most often the theory related to data structures like lists and trees; maybe some complexity theory. But to just be an application programmer, you can skip a lot of the other deep theory |

What % of career programmers have a bachelor's degree in programming related fields? To become a programmer you don't really need a degree in Computer Science. The majority of the core Computer Science curriculum is theoretical applications. |
