Apr 17	comment	What % of career programmers have a bachelor's degree in programming related fields? @Giorgio I agree that some theory is needed most often the theory related to data structures like lists and trees; maybe some complexity theory. But to just be an application programmer, you can skip a lot of the other deep theory
