Certainly possible; but the code to match the DB to the process (especially over the network) may be complicated/slow/error prone itself, which could result in some additonal frustration ("I'm just trying to restore the local (*#%^!% file!!!! WHY DO I CARE THAT THE NETWORK SHARES ARE NOT ACCESSIBLE!??!?!")
