Yes, I'd agree with SICP being an excellent book to learn FP in Scheme. If you aren't married to Scheme, but would consider learning Haskell then Real World Haskell is an excellent read too.

I don't particularly like OCaml, but it could serve as a good introduction to FP, without the purity that Haskell pushes. (I suspect you'd crave that purity after a while though.)

I'm not sure how true it is, but I heard that the people behind reddit read it and wrote the site in Lisp, just to rewrite it later on in a less functional language :-)
