comment Are there compilers which optimize the use of mathematical functions?
Of course there is also the case where in your example someone may expect the sqrt of a negative to cause an error that you are removing with your change just as something to note.

Websites are more than just HTML rendering as CSS and JavaScript also have to be handled.

comment Is it the same to say “instantiate a class” and “instantiate an object”? “Instantiate a class” does not mean creating a new class?
@太極者無極而生 , the comment was intended as a witty remark though it seems lost on you that code generation tools would run code that create classes by making software. It is making something out of thin air as usually classes define things and objects are instances. Contrast the difference between a picture and a photo as these are often similar items.

Code generation tools may well create new classes in my experience.

comment Do you know the name of this algorithm? (cycle with history?)
"avoid A to be child of D" doesn't really make sense since in the cycle everything is a child of something as one could just write out the cycle twice and see that everyone is a descendant of another. Is there a cleaner way to state what your point is there?

Ever look into what kind of performance hit may be taken to make something cross-platform?

comment Why would you store an enum in DB?
Where else would you store data that may change regularly? While you may have thought of all the options what if someone comes along and wants to add a new option. Are you ready to tweak that hard-coded list? Someone may want to give their gender as something other than male or female, e.g. intersex for example.
