@RowanFreema, thanks for the suggestion. The type of answer I was looking for though would not be an opinion based one. It would either say "these annoyances exist in MVC" or "they don't."

comment Why would you use MVC over Web Forms?
+1 Very nice answer! I've been avoiding MVC for years because I thought it would just be a more complicated approach to web-forms. Sounds like in reality it would make what I try to do with web-forms easier (e.g. I always try to avoid all of the Microsoft B.S. like the Script Manager).

A long time ago when I first started programming, a mentor of mine suggested I get in the habit of doing if( INVALID_HANDLE_VALUE == hFile ) to avoid things like that. That way if you slip up and use one equals sign instead of two, you'll get a compiler error. Obviously this only works when the left-expression is a constant, but it has saved me more head-aches than I can count.
