Professional programmer and glorious guitarist.

Writer of http://metaltrivia.com, the world's (soon to be) greatest heavy metal trivia app!

My languages of choice are c# and Javascript. I've written code in a lot of other languages though:) Technology wise I'm a fan of MVC, WPF, WCF, ASP.NET, entity framework, twitter bootstrap, Phonegap... and whole heap other stuff.

comment Is logging hours for software work a good idea?
Of the last 5 companies that I've worked for, literally all of them wanted a work breakdown. It takes five minutes and it's no headache, and it doesn't necessarily mean you'll be micromanaged.

comment How should we develop the project with different members with different skill level?
I disagree. A genius developer should be able to get more work out of the two mid levels if s/he's such a genius.

comment Importance of stored procedures and triggers in building web applications?
They are also a ROYAL PAIN to debug, troubleshoot and test. (BTW they can and should be versioned, you just have to script them all as drop/create scripts and only ever work on the files and run them in, not on the procs themselves inside the DB).

comment What is the best language to use for building a fulfillment engine
There's no "real" answer to your question. Best is a combination of lots of factors - like what your background is, what your companies background is, what you can actually use on your hardware, what you can learn, it's a bit list. Minimal footprint? Assembly :)

comment How can a website look different in safari Windows and Safari mac?
Welcome to website development... different browsers, different versions, different platforms... compatibility hell. Just try to keep things simple and test on all necessary devices as often as possible.

A windows console app definitely a good idea. Nice, simple, maintainable. Kicking it off from your asp.net code could be problematic, I'd recommend you avoid that.

comment When deploying updates, do you deploy all or selected/changed assemblies?
How large are we talking about? Apparently facebook deploy 1.5 gig of code every day, in 15 minutes to all of their servers using bittorrent.
