comment Alternative to Perl's POD Documentation in Other Languages?
I would like to point out that there has been at least one published book written in a variant of POD. *

comment How do I approach a coworker about his or her code quality?
Every Good programmer thinks their old code sucks, let alone the code from others.

comment Is there any good reason for someone who knows Python to learn Perl?
The main difference is that you tell a Perl programmer what is missing from Perl, and he will add it to Perl. Tell a Python programmer what is missing, and he will tell you it isn't worth having.

Google for Perl says there are about 182,000,000 results. Google for Python says there are about 212,000,000 results. That's ignoring that the Perl search only finds references to the language, and the Python search finds references to actual pythons. Perl did have a slump from about 2000 to 2008.

comment Is it true that “Real programmers can write assembly code in any language.”?
I don't know how you could quote Larry Wall, and spell Perl in all-caps.
