comment Never use Strings in Java?
Creating types that are specific to a particular use adds semantic richness, and helps add safety. Plus, creating types to represent specific values helps a lot when using an IoC container to autowire your classes - easy to resolve the right bean to use when it's the only bean registered for a particular class. Much more effort is required when it's just one of many strings registered.
