If you have any questions about the moderation on Programmers, please post a question on meta or chat. Any other attempts at communication will be ignored.

I've been a developer for over 30 years in one form or another. I learnt Pascal at University and my first job was programming in Fortran 66. I've since moved to C# & .NET via Ada, C and C++.

Over the years I've worked for companies of all sizes from 3 person startups to multi-national organisations with 1000's of employees. I've also worked at all levels from junior programmer to team lead/technical architect and one stint as a manager. I've seen various development methodologies from classic waterfall to Scrum implemented and used with varying degrees of success.

comment Why isn't TDD part of programming lessons at school
This is a good point. They are teaching the fundamentals of programming, not the fundamentals of developing.

@danio - I do say it's "seen" as being new. TDD has yet to penetrate to all areas of software development yet!

comment How do you prevent the piracy of your software?
@Lorenzo - OK - perhaps I should have put "relatively hard". The presence of an activation method will mean the vast majority of users will either just stick with the free version or simply pay up.
