If you have any questions about the moderation on Programmers, please post a question on meta or chat. Any other attempts at communication will be ignored.

I've been a developer for over 30 years in one form or another. I learnt Pascal at University and my first job was programming in Fortran 66. I've since moved to C# & .NET via Ada, C and C++.

Over the years I've worked for companies of all sizes from 3 person startups to multi-national organisations with 1000's of employees. I've also worked at all levels from junior programmer to team lead/technical architect and one stint as a manager. I've seen various development methodologies from classic waterfall to Scrum implemented and used with varying degrees of success.

@user4109 Web services are quite straightforward - at least they are with C# & .NET. You make a direct connection and get the actual objects back.

comment Unable to write the content to a file in Java
Yes it is, but your question is "why is the file not getting written" which is not about the data structure, but about an error in your implementation.

Algorithm and data structure concepts are allowed, but this question is neither.

comment Unable to write the content to a file in Java
I've no idea why there are down-votes, but I suspect that it's because your question is off topic for Programmers. While Stack Overflow and Programmers are separate sites they are part of the same network.

comment Why do C# developers newline opening brackets?
I read somewhere (which of course I can't find now) that K&R only adopted the "opening bracket on the same line" approach to save space in the printed book. Having it on a separate line would have added many pages to their book and hence increased the cost of the book.

comment Should a 'Calculator' support '{' (curly braces) and '[' (box braces)
@ambigram_maker - Actually I don't think that User Experience is the best place for this question. It is more of a design question than an UX one. I'm happy to leave this question here.
