comment How to popularize Nemerle (or another programming language)?
May be I'll try to help Nemerle this way. Actually, I'm not as good as an average Nemerle developer, that's why I'm not confident in my abilities. Last time I think of organizing programming courses for high grade students in nearest schools (as Microsoft does all over the world). If I'll do it, I use Nemerle as a programming language to be studied. Though the amount of studied people will be too low. I mean, this was isn't efficient enough in global sense.

You don't know anything about me and about my thoughts. I don't want to discuss which language is better. This question doesn't have any relation to mine.

You are not forced to use it. Just don't participate in the discussion, please, because you don't answer my question. As I understand, you even don't know what you are talking about. That's really sad.

Itay, you have a very good intention indeed! I'm not sure I can help you with advice of any concrete topic even I'm a C# developer. Instead I want to say that it's very important to your teammates that they support your idea. Otherwise it will fail as it happened in my case...

@xsl, nice comment. Glad to hear that there are such companies like yours... I've tried to inculcate the habit of the same meetings in a company I'm working for but I had no luck. After three of my 30-40 minutes speeches with lots of samples we stopped this practice. No one except me wants to make own "presentations" on arbitrary topic. Isn't it sad?

I would recommend not only F# but Nemerle also. Take a look on it. This language combines many approaches including functional programming.

Thank you. I'll try NCrunch and/or Continuous Test a bit later. I've also found .NET Demon. Unfortunately, it doesn't work properly on my machine.

Well, now C# only... and may be Nemerle and/or F# in far future.

It's not a problem at all for us. We use Mercurial as a code storage. The main repo resides on a server, not on programmer's machine(s). Regular backups of the main repo protect us from data loses.
