comment Code Reviews: Working around the Github Pull Request limits
Please note that we try to decrease the size of our PR. I'm asking here because we occasionally run into the issue above and I would like to have a sane solution dealing with this issue. Also I'm only the messenger I currently help the team transitioning to a workflow with continuous integration. I usually write C++: I only have to deal with Fortran occasionally ;)

Well the code base we're working with is roughly 30 years old. When you do changes to it to integrate a new features you'll need to change a couple of lines.

We are currently using vimdiff to see the changes and put the code review comments directly into the code. But that's not really a sane option.

Maybe I should have mentioned that I meant code reviews in the title. We have the diff and the patch we would like to do large code reviews. I'm not sure on how git help would help me with code reviews and continuous integration.

comment Are there open source alternatives to Bitbucket, Github, Kiln, and similar DVCS browsing and management tools?
Yes, you are right. But then if you want to setup something like a code hosting platform you might want to customize a lot of stuff yourself. So I thought it was worth mentioning.
