comment Design patterns to avoiding breaking the SRP while performing heavy data logging
Why the heck is my question, which is more than two years old, marked as a duplicate of a brand new question? And why am I given no other options but "That solved my problem!" (when I'm not even experiencing the problem anymore--I don't even work at the same place) or "No, my question is different. I will edit to to explain how." Why the heck do I have to explain how my question is different than a brand new question!!?!

comment How to determine if a message should be a command message or event message?
Lee, thanks, that's helpful; in fact, I suggest you edit content from your comment into your answer, including a link to the Poole articles (which I'm not sure that I've read).

comment How to determine if a message should be a command message or event message?
Lee, thanks for your answer, but I do understand the theory behind the definition of each. My question is how to apply this in real life---when to notify that something has happened, which often results in something being done, and when to request that something be done.

comment What does it mean for a sorting algorithm to be “stable”?
On the other hand, I just saw this and learned something new. If I had known that I didn't know this then I could have researched it but because the OP asked the question I now know what I didn't know that I didn't know.

Good points---this really brings some fresh perspective that other answers didn't have yet.
