comment Maximizing number of nested triangles
"Create a list of all triangles". That's doable for 100 or 1000 records? But with 10.000 records? In any case, brute force will work with small sets, use something that approaches a good solution for big sets.

I had some kind of genetic algorithm in mind but it all depends on how accurate your results have to be. They're good solutions for these kind of problems however.

comment Why are there so few comments in C/C++ code?
@Davor Ždralo - I don't find the Javadoc style of commenting that useful. If I have a method int GetDistanceInMeters (Coordinate coordinate1, Coordinate coordinate2), what use is there in adding a comment? The only thing it doesn't say is which exception that it can throw, which is shown in e.g. Java with a thrown clause. Plus, if you add a comment with the exception it throws you now have duplicate information, you always have to update the code + comment. And if the method is sufficiently short, which it should be, you can just see which exception it throws.

comment How can I create a solid business case for upgrading our programmers to 256 GB SSD and 16 GB of RAM?
I disagree. Develop on a fast pc and test it on a slower one. Why frustrate yourself with a slow PC?

comment Why does the Java collections APIs not have a last method?
C# does have a .First & .Last method. Reversing a list just to get the last item isn't exactly efficient either.

comment Penalization of under performing employees, how to avoid this?
I also think that you're better off firing bad employees than deducting salary.
