Thanks. You were not talking about on which platforms the technologies were created, but where they run. And as most of these run on windows, your argument seems a bit weak to me. I would guess there are very few frameworks that only run on linux. Anyways, thanks for the information, and I think we both agree that it is important to learn linux/unix as I also stated in my answer.
