How often do experienced programmers have trouble getting their code to perform its intended purpose? I really liked your analogy, a great answer overall. One thing I have found with SO though, is that I write some code and can't find the issue with it. I ask for help on SO and get bashed for wanting other people to do the work for me. It's frustrating, but I guess I just need to develop some debugging skills |

How often do experienced programmers have trouble getting their code to perform its intended purpose? A great answer, but it makes me worry that I don't have the aptitude for this. |

How often do experienced programmers have trouble getting their code to perform its intended purpose? Yes, what I meant was fixing a problem with code when it doesn't do what you intended it to do rather than simply forgetting a parentheses. |

Why would you use data structures (ie Binary Trees, Linked Lists) in your jobs/side projects? I guess to the beginner, arrays are the least intimidating. Now I am starting to see how inflexible they are compared to other data structures |

Why would you use data structures (ie Binary Trees, Linked Lists) in your jobs/side projects? A valid point. I'm not an experienced programmer by any means but wouldn't the size of either an array or a linked list be limited only by the memory? |
