comment How valid is ITJobsWatch data?
Understood, and thank you for your response. That makes sense, and I think I was trying to use the various tag words (Senior, Lead, etc) to peg the rates to experience. You're right though, it's probably too clumsy.

+1: not just what they care about - all they should care about. You haven't done anything wrong, as such - just flexed the boundaries of what's possible a bit too far ;). You're probably also the person best placed to fix it as well. Everyone does this every now and again. Everyone uploads something to live that shouldn't have gone. Everyone leaves the WHERE clause out of an UPDATE statement once in their lives. It's how you react that's important. Where we are, all the devs tend to close up, refusing to speak up about who individually was at fault if anyone asks, it just gets fixed.

comment I'm scared for my technical phone interview for an internship!
Yeah..I knew someone would pick me up on that! I don't 100% mean that...but I don't think it's nessecarily a bad thing if you don't know 100% of everything these days. Being a fast learner, combined with a solid knowledge of the basics can help you get up to speed quickly. But... experience counts, totally. It's a bit of both I guess.

comment How many applications should you provide to cover all sort of mobile phones
Given the low cost of entry & development, I would say it's worth including Windows Phone 7 as a 'required' platform. Granted - it isn't right now, but it has the potential to change quickly, and the apps are (relatively) quick to develop.
