comment When required to convert code from a language you don't know, how do you go about it?
"syntax is easily translated if you are a competent programmer" So learning Haskell must have been a non-brainer for you?

comment “My stuff” vs. “Your stuff” in UI texts
Such prefixes rarely bear any useful information. They only make sense, when you want to distinguish between "your / our" ... for example "offer".

I agree. The chapter "Beautiful concurrency" in Haskell is freely available: research.microsoft.com/en-us/um/people/simonpj/papers/stm/… (the site is down as we speak)

comment Should EICAR be updated to test the revision of Antivirus system?
Sorry, to me this question is offtopic. Software development includes testing, but that does not make everything testing-related relevant to software deleopment.

comment In Java, should I use “final” for parameters and locals even when I don't have to?
I know, that's why i distinguished between value and reference. The concept is the most useful in the context of immutable data structures and/or pure-functionality.

comment How to understand Linux kernel source code for a beginner?
I've done this approach with huge code bases. You need an entry point and an idea what to look for, though.
