Currently a systems analyst for a large telecom, previously a business analyst for a Big 4 accounting firm. Main areas of focus are writing functional specifications, authoring design documents, SQL database queries, VBA macros and creating small in house applications to handle routine tasks using C#. Working on developing developing my programming skills, using C# as my primary language.

Thanks. I am familiar with foreign keys as they relate to records in other tables, but I have never seen a situation where you have a primary key in a table also being a foreign key for another record in the same table. Is this an unusual situation, or is it usually accepted in database design?

Yeah sorry my question is vague because the interview tip I got was vague. Not exactly sure what they're after or why a BA should need to know the difference. I suppose I'll find out more at the interview, although I hope this isn't a critical component.
