comment Is it poor programming practice to pass parameters as Objects?
This doesn't violate the Liskov substitution principle, unless you're prepared to say that every method that accepts int parameters must accept negatives, and values that are out of range, etc. Also that folks who use interfaces in their public API as part of information hiding and then accept interfaces as arguments but expect them to be their own internal concrete types also violate the principle. My understand is that the principle says that an override of a method must accept at least the same types of input, and result in at most the same types of output.

Not all .NET developers should go to Azure. Amazon EC2 is a perfectly acceptable option for them. But +1 for referencing the excellent article.
