@JimmyHoffa What it actually means is "as a result of this utterance". Reducing unnecessary complexity is good, but let's use the correct meaning. I could not, for example, use "hereby" if I wanted to say, "The grass is green", as it is a statement, but by stating it there has not been a result. The above introductions are the candidate nominations - whether you highlight that fact or not is a matter of style.
