@Christer, Did you miss that "decrypting homemade encryption" is just the same task of HUMAN PROGRAMMER reading your "riddle" code? Because I think you did. The only difference is English vs. assembler language of the "riddle".

How exactly the hell it is different from reading source? You perform task according by set rules -> you get key. That's all. Except you can take shortcuts by just reading your "clues" from other game resources instead of actually playing the game.

@Chriser, i.e. solving "a riddle that hasn't been made before" is exactly equal to "solving a homemade encryption algorithm that hasn't been made before".

@Christer, it is no different that figuring out any other "security by obscurity" homemade encryption. "On the box" - you just wrote key to the "paper cover" resource that you give to user instead of "file" resource that you give to user. Big deal.

@mk12, but this game is not just a keyboard simulator, where you don't have any rules and can only brtuteforce a password. It's a puzzle with defined rules. The algorithm of solving puzzle, it's graphical/textual/whatever resources ARE encryption algorithm stored in game.

@Chister, it IS possible, just useless.

comment Compute if a function is pure
You also need to check if toString is pure for any object you use as string.

comment Is there an excuse for short variable names?
-1, I do use long names for array index iterations, but I give them meaningful name instead of obvious and meaningless arrayCounter. Makes code easier to read and at very least saves you from stomping all over outer counter when you copy/paste another loop inside this one.

Are there any witnesses?

comment How can I convince my boss that ANSI C is inadequate for our new project?
You need real-time an you argue that manage language is better than C, when all the hurdles of maintenance will fall on another guy? Good move.

comment Is this an assembly language?
ПРГ (PRG - programming) is just a meta key to switch to programming mode, not some function.

comment Is this an assembly language?
It could simply treat all numbers as floats and consider one of arguments 7.0.

comment Why is HTML/Javascript minification beneficial
Something tells me that running full scale JavaScript compiler and several optimizing runs on internal representation, all of it often implemented in Java is not a low CPU overhead.

comment My boss decided to add a “person to blame” field to every bug report. How can I convince him that it's a bad idea?
Additionally, the team still WILL suffer. All just to prove that boss was wrong?
