@Nick Johnson: you're right, any service has occasional downtime and I'm not expecting an 100% uptime. On the other hand, that issue doesn't look like a downtime issue. To me it looks like a limitation of the Google App Engine, i.e. your code has to run in a pretty limited amount of time. I'm not familiar with GAE, so please correct me if I'm misunderstanding something.
