comment I need to create an employee schedule/appointments program, but I don't know how to set it up
@robz228, the programmer time to implement a program like this will almost certainly cost far more than the price of purchasing a program.

comment Why do programming languages, especially C, use curly braces and not square ones?
The only person who can answer this is Dennis Ritchie and he's dead. A reasonable guess is that [] were already taken for arrays.

comment Can I use a GPL licensed piece of JavaScript on a commercial website?
@AndrewFinnell that is completely wrong and misses the whole point of the free and open source software movements. The creators are happy for their products to be used in commercial software for profit, as long as the software remains open-source. This does prevent some business models for monetizing the software (selling shrink-wrap licenses becomes much less effective), but it absolutely does not prevent all commercial use.

comment Motivation and pitfalls (?) of the auto keyword in C++11
@eBusiness the incompatibility arises with declarations like auto i = .... Prior to C++11, this declares a variable with type int; with C++11, the compiler infers the type automatically.
