Thanks so much @Nemanja :) But, would it not make the code easier to navigate, understand if the toHtml() function was part of some HTMLUtil class or HTMLUtil namespace? This way the code reader can know that this method belongs to the family of HTML related functions which are encapsulated in a static class or namespace rather than a free floater with no connection to any family?

@ThorbjørnRavnAndersen no its my 2nd, previously i worked for a big and well respected software company (120+ ppl) for a year and then left for a Masters degree abroad. I got an employee of the month award there and they were very happy with my work - and my team manager there was a gem of a person. In a nutshell, i would have been happily employed the way things were going in my first company, so i wouldn't say i am a spoiled brat. During my undergraduate, i worked a lot as freelancer and i had a lot of returning customers, which hopefully means i was useful enough for them.
